Course Description
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 215, NURS 160, NURS 167, and NURS 186 with concurrent enrollment allowed in NURS 186. Minimum grade of PC (pass) required for two clinical courses, NURS 168 and NURS 170. This course is designed to offer hands-on, practical application of the nursing skills and concepts acquired in NURS 186, focusing on the nurse's role in the direct care of adult clients with varied backgrounds and perspectives in the mental health and psychosocial environments. Emphasis is placed on client-centered care, evidence-based practice and informatics, safety, teamwork and collaboration, and professionalism. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer]
