Course Description
Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 215, NURS 160, NURS 167, NURS 168, and NURS 170. This course is designed to focus on the theoretical application of identifying and meeting the intermediate nursing care needs of acute adult medical-surgical clients with varied backgrounds and perspectives. Emphasis is placed on client-centered care, evidence-based practice and informatics, safety, teamwork and collaboration, and professionalism. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]

Course Description
Prerequisites: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 215, NURS 160, NURS 167, NURS 168, and NURS 170. This course focuses on the theoretical application of concepts, principles, and skills needed for identifying and meeting client care needs. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge required for the intermediate care of the culturally diverse adult medical-surgical client including: medical and surgical interventions, holistic care before, during, and after medical or surgical interventions, and health promotion, education, and maintenance in relation to acute health problems. [Semesters Offered: Fall, Spring]
